Let’s meet cute.

A storyteller’s story

I published my first novel at the age of 7 (through my school library, of course) and have been a professional journalist and magazine editor for more than a decade.

I live for writing and editing stories about people. Artists, doctors, entrepreneurs, difference makers—I love nothing more than to sit with someone, listen to their story and translate it onto the page.

The stuff I’m proud of.

Professional accomplishments

I’ve been the editor of ‘225 Magazine’ for eight years.

When I moved almost 900 miles from my native South Florida to South Louisiana to become the editor of 225 Magazine, I had one goal. I wanted to make 225 the state’s own Garden & Gun. Leading a team of some of the best writers, photographers and designers in the Gulf South, I’ve taken the magazine to new heights. I’ve transformed a print magazine into a dynamic, digital-first publication—and won regional and national awards along the way.

Before that, I ran Gulfstream Media Group’s magazine collections.

As associate editor and later managing editor, I oversaw more than 100 pages of editorial content each month for lifestyle and shelter publications including Boca Life, Gold Coast, The Palm Beacher, Jupiter, Miami Design and many more.

I’ve done all the editor things.

I’ve interviewed celebrities, organized cover shoots and reconfigured social media strategies. I’ve mentored more than 50 young photographers and writers through our internship programs, helping them build portfolios they can be proud of and coaching them to become better writers and photographers. I’ve worked alongside some of the best content creators in the business. I’ve gone on press trips, spoken on podcasts and taught classes.

Collaborating with a team to tell someone else’s story has been the greatest reward.

Let’s get trivial.

Fun facts

  • I grew up in the humid coastal South, but I feel most like myself in the desert Southwest. Tucson, Joshua Tree and Marfa have my whole heart.

  • I planned my own wedding and am so proud of how it turned out.

• My earliest memories are of my grandparents’ antique shop, surrounded by the smell of old things. A perfect Saturday for me is waking up early for thrift shopping. Maybe someday I’ll follow in my grandparents’ footsteps and have an antique shop of my own. But until then, I especially love to write and edit stories about people and their homes.

  • I love making and upcycling things. I’m all about reupholstering chairs, painting, and decorating with peel-and-stick wallpaper.
